Hourly Compensation: $20.50 - $25.63
Position SummaryProvides quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant ports the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.
Primary Responsibilities- Assistance with total patient care under the direction of the RN
- Promote patient safety
- Promote and support an organized work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Years of
Experience:
None.
Preferred Experience: One year acute care nursing assistant experience.
License, Registry or Certification: State Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification or non-certified nursing assistant with acute care hospital experience. CPR certification required. Crisis Prevention (CPI) training required, renewal annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months. CPI Course will be provided at Hunterdon.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Normal knowledge of basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
