Job Description & How to Apply Below

This is not an opportunity for those who want to simply "blend in" within a larger organization. This, however, is an opportunity for an expert who wants to come in every day, mold the trajectory of ASC, be rewarded for doing so, and make a difference in the world we live in.

Company Description

ASC Forensics is a growing forensic, scientific, and engineering firm that provides expert analysis to clients nationwide. ASC delivers Small Firm Attention with Big Firm Capabilities with the mission to equip our clients with scientifically sound testing, analysis, reports, and testimony that are easy to understand.

Role Description

Our growth has created an opportunity to pioneer our Biomechanics division by adding a Senior Expert in Biomechanics to lead complex injury causation investigations and provide expert witness testimony at depositions and trials. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, proven courtroom credibility, and the ability to mentor junior engineers/technicians while managing ongoing casework. This position offers the opportunity to shape the growth of ASC Forensics’ biomechanics practice.

This position is NOT intended for individuals who do not envision a long-term future within the ASC family.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead injury causation and other related biomechanical investigations across a wide variety of analysis types, from passenger vehicles to specialty vehicles and more, upholding a high degree of attention to detail and pride in work product.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles, crash sites, and physical evidence using industry-standard methodologies and advanced tools (e.g., laser scanning, sUAS, EDR imaging, etc.).
  • Prepare clear, defensible reports and exhibits that stand up to scrutiny in litigation.
  • Provide deposition and trial testimony as a qualified expert witness, presenting findings with clarity and authority.
  • Collaborate with ASC Forensics’ multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated, case-wide analysis and solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, technicians, and interns, fostering technical growth and adherence to ASC’s standards.
  • Maintain professional development and technical expertise to ensure ASC remains at the forefront of forensic engineering practices.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and internal technical staff.
Compensation and Benefits

Highly competitive base salary, bonus eligibility, 401(k) with company match, Continuing Education Assistance, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays

Growth Path

As ASC Forensics continues to expand, senior experts will have the opportunity to grow into Director-level roles, leading teams, managing client relationships, and shaping divisional strategy as the company develops.

Required Qualifications
  • Foundation and background in a wide range of biomechanical analyses.
  • Trial testimony experience as an expert witness in biomechanics.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license desired.
  • Strong technical writing skills with a record of producing authoritative reports.

  • Knowledgeable in biomechanics software with a willingness to learn the programs used for frequent analyses (i.e., MADYMO).
Preferred Attributes
  • Leadership experience guiding technical staff or managing multidisciplinary projects in forensic engineering or related fields.
  • Advanced academic background, such as a master’s or doctoral degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Biomechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
