Role Overview

Haworth Brotherton Solicitors is seeking a motivated and client-focused Solicitor (Non-Contentious) to join our established and growing practice. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of non-contentious matters, provide high-quality legal advice, and contribute to the long-term development of the firm, with a genuine opportunity for progression to partnership.

This role is ideal for a solicitor who values strong client relationships, professional autonomy, and long-term career development within a respected local firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of non-contentious legal matters from instruction to completion
• Advising clients on residential and commercial conveyancing transactions
• Preparing wills and advising on estate planning
• Handling probate and estate administration matters
• Advising on and preparing powers of attorney
• Undertaking Court of Protection work where required
• Maintaining regular, clear and professional communication with clients
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements
• Contributing to business development and the ongoing growth of the firm
• Working collaboratively with partners and colleagues to maintain high service standards

• Engaging in ongoing training and professional development
• Working closely with partners and benefiting from mentoring and support
• Developing technical expertise and client management skills
• Progressing towards increased responsibility and leadership within the firm

Person Specification

Essential:

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales
• Experience in non-contentious work
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Professional, approachable and detail-oriented

Desirable:

• Experience with in a high-street or regional firm
• Interest in long-term career progression and partnership
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
