About the Role

We are seeking a Fleet and Leasing Manager to support the successful launch and long‑term growth of the Changan brand in the UK. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the business at a pivotal moment as we establish operations in a new and competitive market. The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, proactive, and possess strong experience in the automotive fleet industry with knowledge of leasing, broker and corporate sales channels within the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Execute Changan UK’s fleet and leasing strategy across multiple fleet sales channels to maximise sales performance, driving volume growth, brand visibility, and long‑term commercial success across the fleet business.
  • Build and manage relationships with key leasing companies, contract hire providers, vehicle brokers, corporate partners and public sector procurement ensuring Changan is positioned as a preferred partner.
  • Raise awareness of the Changan brand by undertaking business development activities to secure new brand customers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, volume agreements, and service level expectations with fleet channel partners (leasing, corporate, broker, public sector, local authorities, fleet management companies) to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with franchise partners, internal stakeholders, and external organisations to ensure the successful growth of the Changan brand in the UK.
  • Engage in public sector procurement frameworks and tenders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of public sector organisations.
  • Track and report on channel performance, including vehicle volumes, margins, customer acquisition, and partner satisfaction, providing regular insights to senior leadership.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and risks in the UK leasing and broker space, adjusting strategies to ensure market competitiveness.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive, within the fleet sector.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Skills we are looking for
  • Strong understanding of the fleet sector within the UK automotive industry with a particular focus on leasing channels.
  • Experience of working with corporate customers to understand their vehicle requirements and positioning products within their fleet to optimise volume opportunities.
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to structure compelling offers and secure strategic partnerships that drive volume and profitability.
  • Experience of completing competitive tenders as required.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and build long‑term relationships with key clients, public sector bodies, and procurement teams, fostering trust and ensuring ongoing business success.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and deliver cross‑functional objectives.
  • Experience of working in partnership with a dealer network to develop fleet volumes and market visibility.
