Title: Aircraft Fleet Manager
Location: London, Biggin Hill
Compensation: Depending on experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Schedule: Minimum 4 days per week, office-based
TARCG is currently seeking an Aircraft Fleet Manager to work with our client based in London, Biggin Hill. Our client manages a growing fleet of private aircraft that are operated under third-party AOCs. Charter Activity is exclusively B2B via brokers - not direct-to-consumer. The business is in a build and scale phase, with the medium-term ambition to evolve into an in-house AOC operation.
This role is a senior operational leadership appointment, but in the early stages will also require a hands‑on approach to operational delivery, coordination, and relationship management until the team is fully built out.
Responsibilities:- Take overall responsibility for day-to-day operational coordination, availability, utilisation, and on-time performance of a managed private aircraft fleet.
- Act as the primary liaison between aircraft owners, third‑party AOC operators, flight crews, charter brokers, and internal commercial leadership.
- Manage broker‑only charter activity, aligning utilisation and revenue performance with owner approvals, safety standards, and commercial objectives.
- Oversee relationships with AOC partners, ensuring safety, compliance, SMS practices, and consistent service delivery across the fleet.
- Coordinate maintenance, airworthiness, AOG recovery, and operational disruption management while providing performance, utilisation, and cost reporting.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication capability, whilst being able to influence senior stakeholders across owners, operators, and brokers
- Clear leadership presence and professional gravitas, credible with regulators, executives, and technical teams
- Proven experience in private aviation operations / fleet / charter environments (business aviation — not airline-only)
- Strong understanding of CAA/EASA AOC frameworks
- Experience building or shaping operational teams or environments
- Comfortable operating hands‑on during the build phase and willing to personally oversee day‑to‑day operational activity until the team grows
- Commercially disciplined, calm under pressure, highly organized
