What You’ll Do
  • Perform the responsibilities of a level 1 – level 3 auto tech.
  • Perform a wide range of repairs, including brakes, drivability, steering, suspension, electrical, safety inspections, AC and major engine.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complete repairs.
  • Work with individual techs as required to assess specific vehicle needs.
  • Provide general guidance, direction or train associates in supporting roles and or less experienced associates.
  • Perform quality control checks on all work; notify supervisor of exceptional or unsatisfactory work.
  • Ensure auto maintenance standard operating procedures and activities are conducted to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Identify developmental opportunities in staff.
  • Monitor workflow processes and recommend areas to improve productivity.
  • Alert management about difficult issues, patterns and trends.
  • Model safety behaviors and ensure techs comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Train and instruct new and current employees regarding job functions/tasks expected of them when needed.
  • Provide technical expertise, effective guidance, and coaching to other shop employees.
Who You Are

From a flat tire to a thrown rod, you know how to fix it. But your skills extend beyond mechanical work; you’re also a great communicator who can inspire others. You have the following qualifications:

Required
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • ASE Certifications required.
  • 5+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
  • The ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles.
Preferred
  • High school diploma or GED.
