This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customers to embed quality into every stage of the manufacturing process.

This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, values prevention over correction, and can balance rigor with collaboration. This position is onsite at our site in Flagstaff, AZ – Evans Alloys.

So, what will you be doing as a Quality Manager?

The Quality Manager will have primary responsibility for:

  • Own and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Lead internal audits and support customer, supplier, and registrar audits.
  • Ensure procedures, work instructions, and records are current, effective, and consistently applied.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards across manufacturing and inspection processes.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Partner with Operations to reduce scrap, rework, and escapes using data‑driven improvement methods.
  • Champion risk‑based thinking and preventive quality practices.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers on quality issues and audits.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on supplier qualification, audits, and performance improvement.
  • Lead supplier corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the site quality team.
  • Build quality capability across the organization through training and standard work.
  • Foster a culture where quality and safety are everyone’s responsibility.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with audits, corrective actions, and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
