Join to apply for the Patient Care Tech-CNA - Med-surg tele role at Northern Arizona Healthcare.
The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation, and supply management under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. They may also function as office assistants, answering phones, addressing patient inquiries, and performing data entry and collection.
The PCT in the discharge unit assists discharged patients, coordinates discharge logistics, and helps patients access resources and health services. All PCTs follow NA Healthcare policies and procedures, perform within their scope of practice, and work closely with interdisciplinary teams. They may care for diverse populations, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
The Float/Flex Pool PCT may work on any hospital unit, change departments during a shift, or serve as a Patient Safety Attendant as needed. Call duty is required for this role. This position is on-site only.
Responsibilities- High School Diploma or GED and graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program (Required).
- Current CNA or LNA license in Arizona (Required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
- Fingerprint clearance, if applicable.
- For Discharge PCT: experience with interdisciplinary collaboration, EMR documentation, community resources, and post-discharge planning.
Healthcare environments require familiarity with electronic devices and computer competence.
