Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Patient ratios:
Days 1:2, Nights 1:1

• 36 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed to call off 6 times during 13-week assignment

• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted

• Weekend coverage as needed

• Required certifications:
Active Arizona RN License or valid compact license, BLS, ACLS

• Preferred certification: TNCC

• Fresh open-heart experience is REQUIRED

• Must be familiar with all hemodynamic monitoring skills, ideally IABP and Impella experience

• Prismaflex CRRT experience is a plus

• Must be comfortable floating to Critical Care Units (ICU, STICU & PCU), MS TELE Units, and Cardiac Monitoring Room

• Care for cardiac and cardio-thoracic patients directly from OR

• Manage fresh open heart patients directly from OR or the shift directly after

• Experience required with IABP, Impellas, sheath removal, TAVR, IV insulin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management

• Must be skilled in pulmonary artery line monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips

• Charting system:
Cerner experience required

• RNs can wear any scrub color

This is a 268-bed short-term acute care facility that serves as a teaching hospital and Level I trauma center. The facility maintains Magnet status and provides comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care services with an 11-bed CVICU unit. The organization offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The facility emphasizes quality patient care and safety standards with modern equipment and specialized cardiac care capabilities.
