Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• 3x12 schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week

• Patient ratios: 1:2 during days, 1:1 during nights

• Weekend coverage required as needed

• Must work 2 out of 3 holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day)

• Required to float to critical care units (ICU, STICU & PCU), MS TELE units (Humphrey, 3 North, 3 West, Kendrick & 2 East), and Cardiac Monitoring Room based on skill set

• Fresh open-heart experience required - will take patients directly from OR or the shift directly after

• Must be familiar with all hemodynamic monitoring skills, IABP and Impella experience preferred

• Prismaflex CRRT experience is a plus

• 2 years of experience required, first-timers accepted

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (TNCC preferred)

• Active unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license required

• Cerner charting system experience required

• RNs can wear any scrub color

• Care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients, adults and geriatrics

• Average 6 hours of orientation modules during first week

• Facility may call off up to 6 times during 13-week assignment

Facility:

This is a 268-bed short-term acute care facility that serves as both a teaching hospital and Level I trauma center. The facility maintains Magnet designation and provides comprehensive cardiac and cardiothoracic services. The CVICU is an 11-bed unit with a daily census of 11 patients, offering specialized care for complex cardiac patients. The facility utilizes Cerner charting systems and provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services.
