MTSS/ILS Teacher
(Full time, Middle School)
Position Summary
This position is integral to our MTSS program. This 7th grade-level position emphasizes student work completion, task management skill development, IXL intervention, competency building in ELA and Mathematics, effective communication as a 7th grade team member, and systematic progress monitoring.
Student Academic Support
- Assist students in developing weekly work plans that balance missing work, upcoming assignments, and personal commitments
- Reteach concepts and provide targeted intervention support as needed
- Use IXL Software to provide interventions
- Monitor student academic progress through multiple data sources including grades, assignment completion, and assessment results, IXL Data
- Coordinate with grade-level teachers
- Prepare to report on student progress
- Maintain an effective, quiet, and productive learning environment conducive to study and focused work
- Enforce ILS behavioral expectations and school policies consistently
- Address behavior issues that disrupt the learning environment; refer to administration when needed
- Ensure students are never left unsupervised
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- IVP Fingerprint clearance card
- Experience working with middle or high school students in an academic support role
- Knowledge of progress monitoring tools and data-driven instruction
- Teaching certificate
- Salary: $45,017 for school year ~180 days
