YOU help parents thrive so our communities grow stronger! CPLC Parenting Arizona and CPLC Parenting Nevada provide family support services statewide through prevention, intervention and treatment programs. These services promote strong families by empowering parents to thrive, thereby creating communities where parents have the skills to raise healthy and successful children.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

As a Parent Education Facilitator
, you will deliver funder-approved parenting curriculum directly to families, caregivers, and teens in Arizona communities including Flagstaff, Page, Winslow, Williams, Fredonia, Kaibab Band of Paiute, and Hopi. You will empower parents and caregivers to strengthen family relationships, support healthy child development, and promote thriving communities. You will recruit Parenting Champions, engage families, and coordinate community resources to ensure every participant receives the support they need.

Your role will be instrumental in helping families identify strengths, set goals, and navigate services — making a tangible difference in the lives of children and caregivers.

You enjoy working directly with families and have the skills to inspire trust, facilitate learning, and provide supportive guidance. Ideally, you are someone who can exercise sound judgment, communicate clearly, and organize multiple programs simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree and or 5 years’ experience working in Social Services, Early Childhood, or related field (i.e., Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Family and Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have access to safe, reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance card.
  • Complete CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire and maintain the certifications throughout employment.
  • Minimum of 20 hours per Fiscal Year of continuing education and competency building, including but not limited, to Relias Learning, Conference, Workshops, and/or Outside Training.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and/or experience with infant & child development, parent-child attachment, possible behavioral health dynamics of caregivers, as well as the dynamics of child abuse & neglect.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience with strength-based and family-centered provision of primary prevention services.
  • Ability to identify individual/family strengths and planning/advocating around individual/family goals.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience with community resources as well as how to navigate/access these resources for families (some examples of services include Social Service Agencies, Provider Systems such as behavioral health, and division of developmental disabilities).
