Heavy Motor Equipment Operator (HMEO), Department of Public WorksUnder the direct supervision of an employee in a higher classification, this position is responsible for performing skilled work related to the care, operation, and maintenance of the City’s cemetery properties. The role requires the safe operation of a wide range of heavy motorized equipment and vehicles, as well as the performance of manual labor and routine equipment maintenance. The position may occasionally provide limited supervision to lower-level staff and assist other divisions within the Department of Public Works as operational needs require.
