Scope of Work
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports company wide recruitment and talent acquisition efforts, ensuring a smooth and efficient coordination of various recruiting activities. This role plays an important part in fostering a positive candidate and new hire experience.
Responsibilities- Support the Talent Acquisition team in executing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Ensure smooth and efficient coordination of various recruiting activities.
- Support activities and initiatives to improve candidate and employee engagement.
- Occasionally source and interview candidates as needed.
- Prepare and send offers for approval through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as needed.
- Participate in regular workforce planning meetings with Talent Acquisition Partners and Talent Acquisition Lead to best understand new staffing needs for your location, current open job requisitions, and critical hiring needs.
- Manage the recruiting email box.
- Serve as the main point of communication for all new employees from offer acceptance to day one.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including for the HRIS and Applicant Tracking System.
- Communicate to appropriate internal stakeholders regarding candidates employment changes and updates.
- Facilitates employee check-ins to ensure highest performing quality throughout the candidate and employee lifecycle.
- Onboarding liaison for the Talent Acquisition team.
- Travel up to 25% within local markets.
- Additional duties as assigned in support of department initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business or Construction Management preferred, but not required.
- 2+ years of high-volume recruiting experience in the construction trades is ideal but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Strong relationship building and networking abilities.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
