Job Details:

• Work in ICU unit with floating required to PCU

• Must be able to handle higher patient ratios

• Patient ratios: 3:1 days/nights, 3.5:1 weekends

• Guaranteed hours: 8 and 10 hour shifts - 40 hours per week, 3 twelve-hour shifts - 36 hours per week, 4 twelve-hour shifts - 48 hours per week

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

• 3 years of experience required (may screen for less depending on experience)

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Travel experience required

• First-time travelers not accepted

• Locals not accepted for ICU positions

• Must have Indiana license or be willing to obtain compact/temporary license prior to start

• Dress code:
Red tops, black bottoms

• Charting system:
Cerner

• 24 hours of orientation provided

• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKI's, UTI's, and acute shock

• Perform advanced nursing skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, ventilator care, medication titration, and post-cardiac surgery care

• Work with specialized equipment including ventilators, Arctic Sun, and balloon pumps

• Floating required to affiliate hospitals as needed

Facility:

This short-term acute care hospital features a 12-bed ICU unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 7 patients and offers specialized procedures including cath lab services, cardioversion, and stress testing. The hospital provides comprehensive critical care services with modern equipment and support systems to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
