Stevanato Group is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to join our growing plant in Fishers, IN!
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for improving equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness through technical problem-solving, continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration with internal teams, OEMs, and Stevanato Group headquarters. This role focuses on resolving repetitive equipment issues, developing maintenance standards, and leading Kaizen and reliability projects to enhance performance, safety, and uptime.
Key Responsibilities- Track and manage open maintenance and engineering tickets
, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation when required. - Collaborate with OEMs and Stevanato Group headquarters to investigate root causes and implement permanent solutions for recurring equipment issues.
- Review maintenance and equipment KPIs to identify performance gaps and initiate Kaizen or continuous improvement projects.
- Lead and execute improvement projects
, from problem definition and root cause analysis through implementation and sustainment. - Create, review, and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation to improve standardization and effectiveness.
- Communicate regularly with HQ in Italy to align on technical improvements, best practices, and global standards.
- Optimize the organization and layout of maintenance areas
, improving efficiency, safety, and accessibility of tools and components. - Proactively propose new ideas and solutions to improve equipment performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians
, assisting with troubleshooting and complex problem-solving as needed. - Develop and implement predictive maintenance practices
, including condition monitoring and data‑driven reliability improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- Mid-level experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or equipment support in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills (RCA, 5-Why, FMEA, etc.).
- Experience working with OEMs and global engineering teams
. - Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies
. - Ability to lead improvement projects and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, including collaboration in a global / multicultural environment
. - Experience in regulated, pharmaceutical, or high‑precision manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Repetitive equipment issues are eliminated or significantly reduced.
- Maintenance KPIs show measurable improvements in uptime, MTBF, and reliability.
- Maintenance procedures are standardized, clear, and consistently followed.
- Technicians are supported with strong technical guidance and effective solutions.
