Plumbing Designer – RQAW | DCCM

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer to join our team at RQAW | DCCM. The role involves designing plumbing system components for a variety of facilities, ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications.

The Plumbing Designer engages in facility system design for plumbing systems, including fire sprinkler utility connections, plumbing sanitary waste and vent designs, domestic hot and cold‑water designs, and other plumbing systems. Typical projects are in the Correctional, Institutional, and Municipal sectors. This team member works directly in Revit and AutoCAD.

• Apply knowledge of codes and construction industry to develop plumbing system designs.
• Design piping and plumbing systems in a team environment.
• Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.
• Create schematic design reports and scope documents.
• Estimate cost of construction.
• Prepare construction documentation, including floorplan drawings, diagrams, equipment and fixture schedules, and specifications.
• Review contractor cost estimates and bid packages.
• Review construction submittals for compliance with contract documents.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of Indiana Building Codes and the International Mechanical/Plumbing Code.
• Experience using AutoCAD and REVIT required.
