Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Fishers, Indiana. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring accuracy in billing and collections. You will play a crucial role in supporting our security industry operations by handling accounts receivable tasks and ensuring smooth cash flow processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions with precision and attention to detail.

- Handle commercial collections and ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments.

- Apply cash payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.

- Collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues and resolve disputes effectively.

- Prepare and maintain detailed financial records for audits and reporting purposes.

- Monitor aging accounts and follow up on overdue invoices proactively.

- Assist in creating and implementing efficient processes for billing and cash applications.

- Communicate with clients to clarify payment terms and resolve account-related queries.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all receivable activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable management or a related role.

- Familiarity with commercial collections and cash applications processes.

- Strong knowledge of billing procedures and financial record-keeping.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

- Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to accounts receivable.

- Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.

- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations within the security sector is a plus.
