POSITION SUMMARY:

Marathon Petroleum Company is looking for a Flight Technician / Aircraft Maintenance Technician to travel on company aircraft as needed, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and keep Marathon aircraft operating to the highest aviation standards. The role requires travel and ability to work a varied schedule based on aircraft availability, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.

• Operate as third crew member on Company aircraft with responsibility for the technical integrity of the aircraft, with minimal direction from flight crew.
• Release the aircraft as mechanically airworthy to the Pilot in Command as required by the FAA.
• Oversee refueling, order catering, and ensure the aircraft has sufficient supplies and spare parts as dictated by mission requirements.
• Assist the flight crew with in-flight checklist procedures and system troubleshooting to ensure safety of flight.
• Perform proper repair, servicing, and troubleshooting; keep pilots informed of changes in aircraft grounding situations.
• Assist flight crew with complex logistical situations when aircraft technical problems arise.
• Provide in-flight cabin service and act as safety coordinator for passengers and crew.
• When not assigned to flight duties, perform duties as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, including:
• Preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to airframe systems, turbine engines, and related components.
• Comply with airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other technical requirements.
• Read and interpret maintenance publications, schematics, technical data, and other specifications.
• Ground handling of aircraft including towing, refueling, and jacking.
• All aspects of aircraft dispatching and recovery.
• Document repairs, parts, and equipment installation in aircraft logs.
• Maintain company tools and test equipment.
• Coordinate repair time with pilots and operating schedules.
• Attend airframe, engine, avionics, and cabin attendant training as assigned.
• Potentially oversee hangar facilities maintenance, fuel farm maintenance, maintenance audits, and participation in industry forums as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
• May be assigned as Lead Technician with responsibility for scheduling, performing, and managing the maintenance program for assigned aircraft.
• Participate in the safety management system by identifying and mitigating hazards, providing input on safety-risk profiles, and applying hazard checklists for pre-flight and in-flight decisions.

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
• Avionics experience in troubleshooting, repair, and installation
• 5+ years of turbulence-powered aircraft maintenance experience or hands-on experience with Gulfstream, Challenger, or equivalent business jets
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a US passport
• Ability to travel up to 30%

• Gulfstream G450, Bombardier Challenger 300/350/3500 experience
• NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification
• Aero IT certification
• Inspectors Authorization
• Corporate Cabin Attendant Emergency Evacuation Training
