Petroleum Construction Technician

CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN

Petro‑Com Corporation is currently recruiting experienced Construction Technicians to join our Construction team for the Bowling Green, Findlay, Toledo and Western / Northern Ohio area.

Petro‑Com Corporation is looking for a Construction Technician to provide excellent customer service in the installation, service, repair, and maintenance of all petroleum equipment. Our ideal candidate will be someone looking for a long‑term opportunity, and the chance to grow within the organization. Starting wage for candidates with petroleum construction experience will be based on experience, certifications, and/or accreditations.

• Possess a valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn construction techniques
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Must be able to pass DOT physical
• Ability to work overtime when necessary
• BUSTR certified is a plus

• 8‑hour shift
• Day shift 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime offered at times

• Starting wage for candidates with petroleum experience will be based on experience, certifications, and/or accreditations.

• Responsible for construction tasks and projects including fuel equipment removal/installation, spill buckets, sump repairs, fuel motor removal/installation, concrete work/installation, excavation, canopy, lighting, etc.
• Operate machinery and vehicles including trucks, trailers, lift trucks, bobcats, skid steers, backhoes, light and heavy equipment such as hand tools, hand power tools, pumps, vacuums, and generators; provide maintenance as required for equipment.
• Work alongside a team to complete general maintenance and repair support tasks for all petroleum project sites.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing various types of petroleum equipment including dispensers, tank monitors, fuel management systems, etc.
• Install electronic and mechanical equipment for service stations, commercial fueling facilities and related work.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
• Complete work‑related paperwork; time sheets, daily sheets, vehicle inspection, equipment inspections; promptly report time, travel, and parts used to the office for billing purposes.
• Comply with OSHA safety standards and perform tasks safety, OSHA or Hazwoper certified is a plus.
• Remain actively engaged in supporting the Service Team during gaps in specific construction.
