Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events and monitor donor reactions following SOPs.
- Evaluate laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
- Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu).
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator with EHS for investigations of pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Current LPN (or LVN) license in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least 2 years in a clinical or hospital setting.
U.S. hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79.
