Our client is Seeking a successful candidate that will lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of mission‑critical OT platforms across Windows and Linux environments. This includes partnering with IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions. This role demands a strategic mindset and deep technical expertise in enterprise systems, identity security, and cloud integration, ensuring platforms are resilient, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Location: TX or OH

Salary: $120,000-$140,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis, and implement system optimizations while establishing benchmarks and capacity‑planning standards.
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and technical support efforts, managing escalations, improving support procedures, and coordinating resolutions with vendors and cross‑functional teams.
  • Design and test disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure high system resilience and business continuity.
  • Analyze infrastructure performance trends, prepare detailed reports, and recommend improvements to drive ongoing platform optimization.
  • Architect and configure complex, highly available, and scalable systems in alignment with industry best practices, ensuring compliance with design standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, deliver training, and mentor junior engineers to promote consistent documentation and cross‑team knowledge sharing.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant platforms engineer experience.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise systems engineering, with proven leadership in designing and managing large‑scale Windows and Linux environments required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu) required.
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory architecture and Linux identity management (LDAP, Kerberos, SSSD) required.
  • Proficiency in IAM, IGA, and PAM technologies (e.g., SailPoint, Cyber Ark) preferred.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills across Power Shell, Bash, and Python required.
  • Expertise in SCCM, Intune, and Linux‑native configuration management tools required.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid integration strategies required.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise migrations and modernization initiatives preferred.
  • Experience implementing zero‑trust architectures and advanced security frameworks preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in OT contexts preferred.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V) and disaster recovery planning preferred.
