Job Description

Guardian Helicopters is a leading utility helicopter operator providing mission critical aerial services to commercial utilities, government agencies, and emergency response organizations throughout the Western United States. Core operations include powerline construction and maintenance, human external cargo (HEC), precision external load, and interagency firefighting support. We specialize in complex utility missions that demand precision flying, disciplined procedures, and experienced crews. Operations are conducted in challenging environments where safety and professionalism matter, supported by standardized procedures, professional training, and a strong safety-first culture.

Immediate openings are available for Utility Pilots supporting powerline construction, HEC, and interagency fire operations. Split schedules are offered for experienced pilots. Candidates with powerline construction, HEC, and interagency fire experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay scale based on experience: $68 to $109 per hour (based on split schedule, plus flight pay)

• 2,500 hours helicopter PIC
• 500 hours turbine helicopter
• 200 hours external load
• Positive attitude with strong work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Powerline construction
• Human external cargo (HEC)
• Previous or current PG&E HEC qualification
• Bell 407 experience
• Bell 205 experience
• MBB BK117 experience

Operations are based at a private heliport in Fillmore, Ventura County, California, along the scenic Topatopa Mountain range.
