, is a Ukrainian grocery store offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. Alongside our full-service café, bakery, and meat department, we’re expanding our fresh food offerings with a new Sushi Section
, providing made-in-store sushi sets for both in-store and to-go customers.

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food preparation, takes pride in quality and presentation, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Work Schedule: Friday - Monday, 12 PM - 10 PM (with 30-minute lunch break)

Pay Range: $18-$22/hour depending on experience + tips. Our cooks are making up to $26/h.

• 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked
• $2 extra per hour worked on Sundays
• 1 week paid vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years

• Prepare and roll sushi items according to store recipes and quality standards
• Portion, assemble, and package sushi sets for in-store display and to-go orders
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of all ingredients and products
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized food preparation area
• Monitor inventory of sushi ingredients and notify management when supplies need restocking
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen and store staff to ensure smooth operations
• Follow all food safety and health regulations

• Minimum 1 year of experience in sushi preparation
• Knowledge of basic sushi rolling techniques and food safety standards
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality presentation
• Ability to work efficiently during busy hours and maintain consistency
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Friendly, professional attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction

• Experience working in a grocery store or retail food setting
• Familiarity with Japanese cuisine or sushi menu development
