Position: Licensed Practical Nurse
Job Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Shift Details: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and occasional Wednesday – 7:00am to 7:30pm
Work Location: Evaluation & Treatment Center - Fife, Washington
Salary/Hourly Wage: $28.00 - $35.00/hour

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team. The LPN position also identifies the need for medical attention and alerts the Physician and/or RN of medical concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Guest Care & Advocacy
- Provides education regarding diabetic care, psychiatric medication and other medical needs to enhance individual health and wellbeing.
- Coordinates care including assisting individuals with making medical and/or other Provider appointments as needed.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Assists with intake process.
- Collects blood or urine specimens and arranges transport to lab as ordered.
- Monitors care of individuals to include monitoring of medications under the supervision of the RN.
- Oversees and maintains medication records in accordance with policy and State Regulations.
- Completes clinical documentation as required.
- Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies and procedures as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Cross Functional Collaboration
- Provides support to Medical Assistants and other staff as needed, which includes treatment and discharge planning.

Education/Licenses- Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
- Current and valid LPN license.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
- Thorough comprehension of psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications prescribed.
- Ability to work with agitated guests in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Effective listening skills.
- Excellent clinical documentation skills.
