Qualified Lead CNC Machinist will have exemplary manufacturing skills, a working knowledge and experience on a variety of CNC machines and controls, and a dedication to being part of a world‑class manufacturing team.
What you'll be doing as a CNC Lathe Machinist Lead (Multiple Shifts)- Working a Full‑time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.
- Work with shop foreman and Manager, to organize the work for the evening.
- Work with the employees to maintain, and improve efficiencies while maintaining quality.
- Inspect work using gaging and inspection equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
- Meet department and personal expectations for productivity, quality, and strive for continuous improvement.
- Follow guidelines for work scheduling and understand delivery objectives.
- Communicate pertinent information well with others, and is a company/ team player.
- Good work ethic and maintains good attendance. (Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position).
- Report any machine or process problems or variances to Foreman/Manager.
- Able to perform multiple tasks, running several machines simultaneously.
- Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience as a Lead/Supervisor, or other leadership role.
- Previous Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, materials and processes.
- Must have an understanding of the machinery (Mills and lathes).
- History of good work standards, good quality, and team participation.
- Competent in the operation and performance of multiple machining tools.
- Computer skills. Ability to look up the files as necessary.
- Must be able to qualify simple parts using a variety of inspection equipment.
- Good mathematical and print reading skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Works independently, follows instructions, can concentrate for long periods of time.
- Communicates well verbally and in writing.
- Five years' experience in the manufacturing industry with knowledge of speeds and feeds and two years of lead or other leadership experience.
- Experience with MS applications.
- Strong skills and aptitude in math.
