How You'll Make an ImpactA CNC Operator can transform a rough product into something complete within exacting tolerances. They enable an organization to produce products on time and to a customer's requirement. Operators work alongside many departments such as Quality, Engineering, and Operations to produce high‑quality products.
What you’ll be doing as a CNC Operator (Mill & Lathe)- Working a full‑time, onsite position at our Fife, Washington location.
- Operating CNC mills and/or lathes under close supervision.
- Loading and unloading parts.
- Keeping up with production and meeting time standards.
- Inspecting fixtures for FOD.
- Properly using inspection equipment.
- Having basic knowledge of reading blueprints.
- Making offsets and adjustments with supervision.
- Performing tool changes with supervision.
- Reading, interpreting, and adhering to work instructions, regulations, manuals, and quality procedures.
- Operating, maintaining, and storing mechanical tools and equipment required to perform the job.
- Reporting job status to the supervisor including any malfunctions, non‑conformances, damaged equipment, or other obstacles to production.
- Supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Following all safety guidelines established by the company.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Works independently, follows instructions, and can concentrate for long periods.
- Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for the start of the shift.
- Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
- Communicates well verbally and in writing.
- Is mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity.
- Is a team player with a can‑do attitude.
- Has a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
- Has experience with Microsoft applications.
- 1–2 years of CNC experience in the manufacturing industry with knowledge of speeds and feeds.
- Proficiency with typical precision measurement tools such as dial indicators, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other common inspection tools.
