Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse within Community Hospital inpatient wards throughout Fife. The Recovery and Adaptation Units provide rehabilitation and re-enablement for the Older Person and those younger frail adults. The wards facilitate complex discharge planning in the Community Hospital setting.
We are seeking to recruit nurses who will develop skills in managing many differing conditions associated with the older person and the younger frail adult. You will work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to promote a positive patient journey.
You will be joining well established and experienced nursing teams and you will demonstrate a keen interest and motivation for caring for those requiring rehabilitation and re-enablement.

Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to older persons and younger frail adults in inpatient ward settings within Recovery and Adaptation Units.
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team to promote a positive patient journey and facilitate complex discharge planning.
- Support rehabilitation and re-enablement aims of the unit through evidence-based nursing practices.
- Be willing to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
- Demonstrate entitlement to work in the United Kingdom per UK Visas and Immigration requirements.
- Undergo pre-employment checks as part of NHS Scotland Boards screening.
- Ensure you have the right to work in the UK or be eligible for sponsorship before submitting your application.
From 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
