Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This allows a suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse Therapist across our East & West Core Teams.
Responsibilities- Enhance current provision for children and young people with complex mental health difficulties.
- Provide effective and timely community based assessments and high quality therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manage an individual caseload and assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on an individual, family and group basis.
- Work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings.
- Participate in the NES CAMHS development programme and bespoke training based on individual and service needs.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Significant experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting.
- Ability to respond to the needs of the service and locality, including travel across Fife and wider as required.
- Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
- Have the relevant permission to work in the United Kingdom; evidence can be provided through a number of routes including specific visa types and UK settled or pre‑settled status.
- Ensure that you have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsored before submitting your application.
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
