Position: CAMHS Senior Nurse Therapist (JE)

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This allows a suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse Therapist across our East & West Core Teams.

Responsibilities
  • Enhance current provision for children and young people with complex mental health difficulties.
  • Provide effective and timely community based assessments and high quality therapeutic nursing interventions.
  • Manage an individual caseload and assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on an individual, family and group basis.
  • Work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings.
  • Participate in the NES CAMHS development programme and bespoke training based on individual and service needs.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Significant experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting.
  • Ability to respond to the needs of the service and locality, including travel across Fife and wider as required.
Additional Requirements
  • Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
  • Have the relevant permission to work in the United Kingdom; evidence can be provided through a number of routes including specific visa types and UK settled or pre‑settled status.
  • Ensure that you have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsored before submitting your application.
Working Hours and Pay

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
