Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project. Associates in this position will learn how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments.

• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in their department
• Learn product information using company tools and provide information to customers to assist with purchases
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure areas are clean, shop-able, and safe
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following safety policies and standards, completing required safety training, correcting hazards, or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty
• Collaborate with Department Supervisor and other department associates
• Work across store departments as needed in areas such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental

• Strong customer service skills and ability to assess customer needs
• Willingness to learn about products and use company tools
• Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced retail environment
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures
