Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends based on project needs

Work Location: In-office daily with local travel to customers and job sites

We are seeking a Design-Build Commercial HVAC Estimator to support our growing commercial division. This role is responsible for developing HVAC system concepts, preparing accurate project estimates, and working closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to secure profitable design-build projects.

This position is ideal for someone with strong commercial HVAC design experience who also understands estimating and cost development. You will play a key role in preconstruction, from conceptual design through project handoff.

• Develop conceptual and detailed HVAC system designs based on building requirements and customer needs
• Prepare accurate project estimates, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and present budget-conscious solutions
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Prepare and submit timely, competitive, and profitable proposals
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams for smooth project handoff
• Attend customer meetings, preconstruction meetings, and jobsite visits
• Track bid status, pipeline activity, and project opportunities
• Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, designs, and communications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC design or mechanical engineering experience
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial HVAC estimating or project support experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, load calculations, and equipment selection
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Experience in preparing detailed and accurate project estimates
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn estimating software
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

• Experience working on design-build commercial projects
• Knowledge of commercial building codes and construction processes
• Experience working with general contractors, owners, and design teams
• Strong analytical and value-engineering mindset
