Buzzi Unicem USA, a major US cement manufacturer, is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team at our Festus, MO Plant.

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the financial functions of our large cement manufacturing operation and will focus on the plant operations including inventory, product cost, payables and timekeeping.

The Accounting Supervisor needs to have the ability to quickly understand various software packages, strong accounting knowledge, and good interpersonal and presentation skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage monthly financial closing process and account reconciliations
• Manage annual budget preparation
• Support internal and external auditors
• Capital project justification, monitor spending & fixed asset record keeping
• Provide training and supervision to accounting staff and other personnel

• BS in Accounting
• 2-4 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Oracle Financial System or SAP is a plus
• Proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information.
• Ability to use good judgment when communicating with employees and customers, and to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
