Monday to Thursday, Day Shift (39 hours/week) 7am to 5.15pm

Working in partnership with a well-established precision engineering company based in Ferndown. Known for their high standards and clean, well-equipped workshop, they supply components to industries where accuracy and quality are paramount.

Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Grinder to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role working with high-spec machinery and tight tolerances, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate grinding machines to produce precision components
 
* Manual machines such as Jones and Shipman and Myfords, also Studer experience would be advantageous
 
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
 
* Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances
 
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
 
* Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards
Candidate Requirements:
 
* Proven experience in cylindrical grinding within a precision engineering environment
 
* Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment
 
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
 
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
