Production Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The production technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to assist with the producing product and processes to support the achievement of the site's manufacturing objectives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures quality and consistency in production process by assessing, modifying, and/or calibrating equipment.
• Ensures efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves any issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make adjustments.
• Gathers and arranges materials.
• Assists with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures.
• Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports, including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management.
• Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
