Airgas is Hiring for a Local Class A Delivery Driver in Ferndale, MI! We are looking for you!

• Work Schedule:
  
  Monday - Friday, Day Shift!

Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes. Collect empty cylinders from customers. Address customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction. Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance. Present a professional appearance and maintain the vehicle's condition.

• Cylinder Handling
  :
  Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Record Keeping
  :
  Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Safety and Compliance
  :
  Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Warehouse Support
  :
  Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

A Day in the Life of an Airgas Delivery Driver:

• Valid Class A Driver's License.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire certifications as a condition of employment).
• Must have one (1) year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions; OR two (2) at- fault accident in the last 3 years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school or a combination of driving and prior Airgas specific experience.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Experience.
• Touch freight delivery experience.
