Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Leader is a working role that supervises the maintenance staff. The Maintenance Leader assigns work, completing if necessary, to ensure the facility functions at peak efficiency. Oversees and directsmaintenanceteam members, equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, facilities & grounds, and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide job assignments and priorities for equipment and facility maintenance
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix equipment/facility related issues
- Assist and/or supervise the repair of machinery and facilities by outside contractors
- Maintain, monitor and repair all facility systems (e.g. fire, security, gas, electrical, etc.) as needed.
- Implement and maintain the preventive, predictive and general maintenance programs and associated records.
- Regularly verify that files, manuals, and warranties on all machinery and equipment are current.
- Keep all machinery and equipment maintained at a level that exceeds the current standards required by Federal and State regulation. (OHSO and MiOSHA)
- Coordinate disposal of all facility by-products (e.g. waste oil, scrap metal, refuse, etc.) in conformance with government regulations.
- Implement and maintain TS16949 and ISO 14001 policies, and guidelines.
- Maintain a cost-effective inventory of “most commonly used” maintenance items for buildings and machinery.
- Assist in planning and installation of new equipment and machinery.
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- Operate Forklift and overhead crane as needed (license required).
- 5-years experience within manufacturing facility maintenance.
- Proficient with computers (i.e. Excel, Word).
- Experience with hydraulics.
- Experience with electrical.
- Proven troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines
