- Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (mostly nights, some days); every other weekend required
- Unit / Ratio: 5-bed ICU, patient ratio 2:1 (intensive care unit)
- Care Setting: Acute care – critical care nursing, ventilator management, cardiac and stroke care
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2130-$2250
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (ICU RN, critical care nurse)
- Active RN license (state licensing submission accepted / willing to wait for license)
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, and TNCC
- Comfortable floating to Med-Surg as needed
- Proficient with EMR systems (Paragon-Hospital, Allscripts Touch Works/Clinis)
- Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU patients, including stroke, STEMI, and non-STEMI diagnoses
- Administer and titrate drips such as Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and vasopressors
- Manage ventilators (Hamilton C-1) and collaborate closely with respiratory therapy
- Coordinate care with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams for acute care patients
- Complete floor-specific orientation (typically 1–2 shifts) and maintain accurate Allscripts documentation
- Adhere to unit protocols and scheduled observance of major holidays
