Job Summary
Human Services Technician (HST) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Minnesota Veterans Home – Fergus Falls. Intermittent position requiring availability for all three shifts: day (6:15 am–2:45 pm), evening (2:30 pm–11:00 pm), night (10:45 pm–7:15 am). Salary $21.22–$28.44 hourly plus $2.25 hourly shift differential after 6 am and before 6 pm.

- Provide compassionate, person‑centered care for residents in a long‑term nursing facility.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure safety and quality of care.
- Help residents achieve their highest functional capabilities in a caring, respectful environment.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Support residents with personal hygiene, feeding, medication reminders, and mobility assistance.
- Current registration as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.
- Experience providing activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Experience working in a long‑term care environment.
- A Minnesota Department of Human Services background check may be conducted for finalists; finalists must pass the check.
- Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening or chest x‑ray required before employment.
- Employment reference checks will be conducted on all finalists.
