Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

Overview

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

The actual compensation offered will depend on geography, skills, education, experience, and other factors. This role remains open until filled.

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on the assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy; uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and to process prescriptions (in accordance with state and federal regulations).
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items.
• Performs duties related to inventory, pricing, merchandising, and store cleanliness; assists in location and retrieval of products for customers.
• Supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities and ensures correct data entry in pharmacy systems.
• Handles routine phone calls and assists with non-acute inquiries as directed.
• Completes special assignments as requested by store management or pharmacy leadership.

• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated program and/or state required certification/registration.
• Attends training and completes continuing education credits as assigned by management; maintains knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math and computer skills; ability to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification.
