Commercial Loan Operations Team Lead

Angott Search Group is proud to partner with a well-established financial institution seeking a Commercial Loan Operations Leader to oversee daily commercial loan operations, staff performance, and operational efficiency within the lending division.

This role provides leadership and direction for commercial loan operations, ensuring accurate loan processing, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to lenders, clients, and internal partners.

• Lead and supervise commercial loan operations in accordance with bank policies and procedures
• Manage staff performance, coaching, training, scheduling, and development
• Ensure accurate and timely loan documentation, processing, and closings
• Maintain strong operational controls and regulatory compliance standards
• Improve workflows and implement operational efficiencies
• Partner with management and HR on hiring, interviewing, and employee relations
• Conduct team meetings and resolve departmental challenges
• Support lenders, clients, and internal teams to promote strong service culture
• Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and regulatory guidelines
• Perform additional operational leadership duties as assigned

• Commercial Loan Operations leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending products (CRE, C&I, SBA)
• Understanding of loan documentation, servicing, and compliance requirements
• Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment
