Overview
A well‑established and rapidly growing manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee turnkey projects involving fabrication, modular solutions, engineered systems, and industrial equipment.
The Project Manager will lead assigned customer projects from planning through completion, working cross‑functionally across engineering, production, estimating, and leadership teams. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented leader experienced in managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and requires strong communication, scheduling, budgeting, and technical reading skills, along with hands‑on understanding of fabrication and manufacturing workflows.
Responsibilities Client & Relationship Management- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with an assigned customer base.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal leadership teams.
- Plan, execute, monitor, control, and complete turnkey projects.
- Create and manage budgets to ensure financial control and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; identify and mitigate risks.
- Proactively manage changes in scope, anticipate issues, and establish contingency plans.
- Request, review, analyze, and select subcontractor quotes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure products meet specifications, quality expectations, and delivery timelines.
- Generate material take‑offs and cost estimates for new opportunities and change orders.
- Review project bid documents with internal estimating resources for accuracy and completeness.
- Read and interpret blueprints/contract drawings; apply fabrication and manufacturing principles.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and management to cost non‑core opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirement documents, and presentations.
- Bachelor A07s degree in Engineering or Project Management required.
- PMI certification preferred.
- 3+ years of practical project management experience in manufacturing, structural steel, building, or construction environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction or manufacturing projects simultaneously.
- Hands‑on experience with fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions a plus).
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills across platforms and audiences.
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and collaborative abilities.
