We’re recruiting an organised and proactive Import Bookings Clerk to join a busy freight forwarding team in Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with freight forwarding, logistics, or transport experience who wants to grow within a supportive company.
As an Import Bookings Clerk, you will manage sea freight import bookings, work closely with shipping lines and hauliers, and play a key role in ensuring efficient and accurate import operations. This role suits someone who enjoys a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and great customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and process import bookings for sea freight shipments.
- Arrange and confirm delivery schedules with customers and hauliers.
- Request container releases and liaise directly with shipping lines.
- Use Destin8 and CNS systems for tracking and documentation.
- Assist with basic sea freight bookings and general administrative tasks.
- Support the wider team with day‑to‑day import operations.

Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in freight forwarding, import operations, or transport planning (essential).
- Familiarity with Destin8 and CNS systems (preferred).
- Basic understanding of sea freight processes.
- Customs clearance knowledge beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good telephone manner with excellent attention to detail.
