Senior Transport Planner

Location: Felixstowe
Salary: Up to 60,000 DOE + Car Package + Benefits

We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Transport Planner to take a leading role within our transport operation.

This is not just another planning role. This is a leadership position responsible for driving performance, structure, accountability, and commercial focus across the transport desk.

You will lead and develop an existing team of planners, manage driver performance standards, and play a key part in improving fleet utilisation and operational efficiency. If you are commercially aware, operationally strong, and confident taking ownership - we want to hear from you.

As Senior Transport Planner

• Lead and mentor the planning team
• Oversee daily routing, scheduling, and dispatch operations
• Improve fleet utilisation and operational efficiency
• Drive structure, standards, and accountability across the desk
• Monitor and ensure compliance with drivers' hours and transport legislation
• Manage driver performance and operational conduct
• Act as the escalation point for operational issues
• Work closely with senior management to improve cost control and service levels
• Identify and implement process improvements

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and daily operational involvement.

We are seeking someone who:

• Has strong experience in transport planning
• Has experience in container transport
• Has proven experience leading planners and managing drivers
• Understands UK transport compliance and drivers' hours regulations
• Is commercially aware with a strong focus on utilisation and cost control
• Brings structure, discipline, and accountability to a fast-paced environment
• Is confident making decisions under pressure
• Takes ownership and leads from the front

• 50,000- 60,000 salary depending on experience
