QC Technician; Temporary

Position: Contract QC Technician (Temporary)
Full-time | Suffolk | 17 per hour / 40 hours per week

12 month contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced QC Technician to join a busy and fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a key role focused on ensuring product quality through analytical testing of raw materials and finished goods, with a strong emphasis on microbiology.

What youll be doing:

Carrying out analytical testing in line with agreed work plans and schedules

Producing accurate, valid results and reporting them in a timely manner

Flagging any out-of-spec results or non-conformance immediately

Maintaining competency across all defined lab operations

Following SOPs and world-class operational practices

Acting as signatory for your own results and preparations

Supporting documentation and certificate release processes when required

Providing weekend cover on a rota basis

What were looking for:

Background in microbiology is essential

Level 2 Food Safety qualification

Trained on BRC standards

Minimum 2 years experience in food manufacturing or food services

Strong problem-solving skills and microbiological expertise

Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer systems
