Overview
Process Improvement Lead
We’re looking for a Process Improvement Lead to join a busy production site. In this hands-on role, you’ll help the factory run more efficiently and maintain high product quality.
What the role is aboutThis role is about using lab testing, data, and process knowledge to improve how the factory works. You’ll work closely with production and technical teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and help implement lasting improvements.
Key responsibilities- Test raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Analyse results and communicate findings to production and technical teams
- Support investigations into quality or process issues and recommend improvements
- Apply continuous improvement tools (Lean, root cause analysis, waste reduction) to improve efficiency and consistency
- Update and follow laboratory procedures and standard operating methods
- Maintain accurate records and ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Conduct audits and recommend process changes for quality improvement
- Work with stakeholders across all levels to implement change and improve processes
- Ideally have a degree in Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Preferred
- Strong technical understanding of quality processes
- Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Auditing experience and ability to review compliance against standards
- Experience driving process changes and quality improvements, including change management skills
- Understanding of plant processes and production environments
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, able to work at all levels
- Background in laboratory, quality, or technical roles, ideally in food & beverage, fermentation, or manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a practical problem-solving mindset

- Competitive pay c £45K p/a
- Full-time hours, 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays and Pension
