Base pay range: $23.00/hr - $29.00/hr description:
We are currently looking for the right Retail Store Management Trainee to join our team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $6.35 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store, promoting a positive and productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.

This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. You will analyze store financial statements to ensure goals are met and commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. You will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Compensation includes hourly wage plus commission and a bonus based on store performance.

The actual pay will depend on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
• Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
• Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including cash handling and asset protection procedures.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
• Administer store processes (inventory, loan management, merchandising, systems, reporting).
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees; maintain product knowledge.
• The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods; flexibility to work a retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work with firearms (certification may be required).
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Able to work in multiple locations and operate POS systems.
• Strong multi-tasking, organizational, analytical, and cash handling skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong work ethic.

The commission plan is proprietary. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
