Aquatics Attendants are responsible for supporting the safe operation of water attractions while delivering friendly, attentive, and professional guest service. This role helps maintain a fun, safety-focused environment by monitoring attractions, enforcing water safety rules, and assisting guests throughout the waterpark.

Team Members in this position are expected to provide prompt and courteous service while upholding the highest safety and guest service standards.

Skills, Requirements & Qualifications

Possess or have the ability to obtain Basic First Aid certification
, including CPR and the Heimlich maneuver

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and leadership

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Must be at least 16 years of age.

General

Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Service

Provide friendly, helpful, and professional service to guests

Follow all guest service standards and code of conduct guidelines outlined in the Team Member Handbook

Safety

Support Wild Waves’ safety-first culture by promoting a safe working environment and identifying potential hazards

Teamwork

Work collaboratively with fellow team members and leadership to support park operations

Maintain clean and sanitary work areas for guests and team members

Perform cleaning duties as needed, including bending, stooping, and use of approved cleaning tools and supplies

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Safety Operations: Maintain a safety-focused environment at water attractions by enforcing rules, dispatching slides, and assisting with preventative safety measures

Equipment Support: Assist with water attraction equipment maintenance, including tube cleaning and inflation

First Aid Response: Provide first-responder care to guests as needed, including CPR and the Heimlich maneuver

Guest Information: Answer guest questions regarding park amenities, water safety, and directions

Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of water attraction areas, walkways, and back-of-house spaces

Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned based on department and park needs

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching

Occasional climbing or balancing

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work is primarily outdoors and subject to varying weather conditions

Noise levels may range from moderate to high

Reasonable accommodations may be provided to support team members in performing the essential functions of this position.
