Grounds / Landscaping Team Members are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall aesthetic of the park grounds. This role supports daily landscape upkeep and assists with seasonal projects to ensure the park remains welcoming, safe, and visually appealing for guests.
This position also supports the Maintenance team with pre-season and post-season projects, including Fright Fest setup and teardown, pressure washing, painting, and general park upkeep.
Skills, Requirements & QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older
Valid Washington State driver’s license required
Prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred
Strong guest service and communication skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
GeneralDuties & Responsibilities
Guest Service
Provide friendly, helpful, and professional service to guests
Follow all guest service standards and code of conduct guidelines outlined in the Team Member Handbook
Safety
Support Wild Waves’ safety-first culture by maintaining a safe work environment and following safety procedures
Teamwork
Work collaboratively with fellow team members and leadership to support park operations
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the park
Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesDaily Grounds Maintenance: Perform mowing, edging, weeding, planting, pruning, digging, and general landscape upkeep
Park Landscape: Maintain flower beds, lawns, walkways, wooded areas, and landscaped spaces
Park Aesthetic: Support the development and maintenance of the park’s overall visual appearance
Seasonal Projects: Assist with pre-season and post-season projects including pressure washing, Fright Fest setup and teardown, painting, and general cleaning
Equipment & Tools: Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tool storage rooms, and park vehicles
Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned based on department and park needs
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis position is primarily outdoors and requires working in varied weather conditions, including heat, rain, wind, and cooler temperatures
Extensive walking throughout the park, including uneven terrain, hills, stairs, and occasionally slippery surfaces
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
Occasional climbing or balancing
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Noise levels may range from moderate to high
