Job Summary

The Porter is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings of multi‑family residential apartments.

Classification

Full‑Time, Hourly/Non‑Exempt

Shift

Monday – Friday 8 am–5 pm

Compensation

$18‑$22 /hour

Essential Duties
  • Ensure meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings.
  • Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of market‑ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments.
  • Assist and perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the cleaning of available units and models.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting/repairing of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems.
  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs to the maintenance supervisor or property manager.
  • Perform tasks and operate machinery in a safe manner and in compliance with safety procedures.
Requirements
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with One Site or other property management software
